David Bennett, coauthor of both studies and a senior research scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, emphasized the astonishing scale of these rogue planets, estimating the galaxy to host 20 times more of them than stars - a staggering number of trillions of these wandering worlds.
